 | Rock Wool Slabs  Applications: - Rock wool Slabs are designed for a wide range of applications, at both high and low service temperatures. It can be used on flat or slightly curved surfaces for thermal and acoustic insulation. They are also suitable for thermal insulation of ducts, large vessels, cavity wall, curtain wall and sandwich panels.
Service Temperature: - Slabs when tested in accordance with DIN 52271 can withstand temperatures up to 750° C.
Fire-Safety: - Slabs are non combustible when tested in accordance with BS - 476 Part 4 and ASTM E -136.
Facing: - Slabs are available with Black glass tissue, Reinforced aluminium foil, Kraft paper and Glass cloth facings.
Thermal Conductivity: - Slabs show remarkably low thermal conductivity values,when tested in accordance with BS 874 : 1986.
Moisture: - Non-hygroscopic and non-capillary, it does not absorb any moisture from the air nor does moisture have any effect on the stability of the slabs.Water repellent slabs available on request.
Density: - Available from 48kg/m³ - 200 kg/m³ densities, and size of 1.0 meters x 0.6 meters. Non-standard sizes available on request.
Packing: - Slabs are packed in HDPE bags.
